CBD Vegan Christmas Cupcakes

Each cupcake provides approx 20mg CBD

Christmas Cupcake Ingredients

  • 95 g all-purpose flour
  • 25g cocoa powder, sifted
  • 1/2tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 120ml plant based milk
  • 120g sugar
  • 60ml olive oil
  • 2tbsp vegan yoghurt
  • 1tsp vanilla bean paste / extract
  • 4ml 1200mg CBD Oil Drops (Natural)
  • 225g vegan butter (cubed and cold)
  • 250g icing sugar
  • 45ml coconut milk (canned)
  • Green food colouring
  • Christmas sprinkles of your choice
  • Vegan chocolate stars


  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 175°C and prepare your cupcake tin with either 5 large or 8 standard cupcake liners.

  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.

  3. In a separate large mixing bowl, whisk together the wet cupcake ingredients.

  4. Gently combine the dry and wet cupcake mixtures using a whisk or spatula until smooth. Be careful not to overmix - this is the secret to achieving the ideal cupcake texture.

  5. Fill the cupcake liners ¾ of the way full and place into the oven for 18-20 minutes or until cooked through. Use a toothpick to check that the centre's are fully cooked before removing.

  6. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow them to rest in the baking tray for 5 minutes. Carefully move the cupcakes to a wire rack and let cool completely before frosting.

  7. As the cupcakes are cooking, add the cold cubed vegan butter to a small bowl and use an electric mixer to cream together until light and fluffy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.

  8. Add the remaining frosting ingredients and gently mix. Add enough green food colouring to create desired colour.

  9. Finally, finish with your choice of sprinkles and a vegan chocolate star.
