The new year is here, and whilst your celebrations might have looked a little different this year, one tradition here to stay is the New Year’s resolution. So, what are your goals for 2021?
Whether it’s spending more time with your family, swapping your sleepwear for activewear, or ditching the takeaways for healthier options, incorporating CBD into your routine can put you on the right path towards achieving them.
So, what is CBD?
CBD is the must-have wellness product of the moment. It’s the non-addictive, non-psychoactive gift from the cannabis plant that won’t get you high. In fact, it’s a perfectly safe and natural way to support your everyday wellness.
Types of CBD
If you’re a CBD rookie, it’s important to note the three main types of CBD. So, in a nutshell: CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD, while full-spectrum CBD contains all of the naturally occurring compounds found in the cannabis plant. The third type is broad-spectrum CBD, whereby most of the naturally occurring compounds remain, but all traces of THC is removed. To find out more, head over to 'Thinking of Trying CBD? A Quick Guide to Delivery Methods
There are many different delivery methods in which you can get your daily source of leafy goodness, including oils, sprays, edibles and cosmetics. Choosing the best delivery method varies from person to person, as it will depend on what you want to use CBD for and how often you wish to take it.
While a little trial and error may be necessary (and we promise it’ll be worth it!), a good place to start is by trying a low-strength CBD oil. That way, you can play with the dose, and if you aren’t so keen on the earthy taste, you can always add a few drops to your favourite meal or smoothie!
Taking the Guesswork out of Dosing
Once you’ve sussed out the best delivery method for you, we recommend introducing CBD gradually, starting with 10mg twice per day. After a week, depending on how you respond to the dosage, you can consider doubling the dose to 20mg. It is recommended that you do not exceed 70mg of CBD per day.
